1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Xtaxx, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. About Xtaxx

Xtaxx is a financial technology platform. It is not a bank, lender, or regulated tax adviser. Banking services, where offered, are provided by licensed partner institutions. Tax and compliance outputs are informational tools — you remain responsible for filing accurate returns and seeking professional advice where needed.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep your account credentials confidential.

4. Your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@xtaxx.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a security risk.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use Xtaxx only for lawful purposes, including personal or business financial record-keeping and reporting. You must not:

• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent data.
• Attempt to access another user's account or our systems without permission.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the platform.
• Use the service for money laundering, fraud, or any illegal activity.

6. Your data and accuracy

You retain ownership of the data you enter or import. You grant us a licence to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your records and for reviewing outputs before relying on them for tax, legal, or business decisions.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans, where offered, are billed according to the pricing shown at purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel through Settings or by contacting support@xtaxx.app. Access to paid features may end at the close of the current billing period.

8. Third-party services

Bank connections and integrations are subject to the terms of those third-party providers. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or actions of partners outside our reasonable control.

9. Intellectual property

The Xtaxx name, logo, software, and design are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without our written permission.

10. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, our total liability arising from your use of Xtaxx is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) £100.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to comply with law. Provisions that by nature should survive termination (including liability limits and governing law) will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

14. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
